Kyle Goeman, President of Citizens Alliance Agency recently announced that the agency will be moving to the North Annex building of Citizens Alliance Bank located at 140 – 1st Avenue NW, Suite 1, Clara City, Minnesota, effective Monday, April 12, 2021. The need for the move is the result of severe roof damage that was caused by the blizzard and windstorm that occurred on December 23, 2020. Goeman stated, “The spring thaw has revealed very significant damage to the roof of the east Citizens Alliance Agency building. The damage from the storm was so significant that there was no other option to repair it other than to completely replace the roof. Unfortunately, the cost to replace the roof just is not justifiable given the age of the building, its design, and other repairs that will need to occur in the not-so-distant future. The original plan was to have the agency continue to occupy its current location for the foreseeable future and if they eventually outgrew their space, the agency would assess its options at that time. Unfortunately, mother nature had other plans.”
The North Annex is located just North of the Bank and is connected to CCM Health – Clara City. Customers will be able to access the agency by entering through the west doors that will be open during normal business hours. Citizens Alliance Bank, Interim President, Chad Forkrud stated, “Although you do not wish for this kind of events, we were fortunate in that the recent addition of our East Annex Administrative building provided us with enough combined unused space to make room for our Agency Team Members by relocating some bank personnel.” It is expected that Citizens Alliance Agency will be located at the North Annex for a minimum of 18-24 months. After the move by Citizens Alliance Agency to the North Annex has been completed, the process of tearing down both of the current Citizens Alliance Agency buildings will begin.
